Start designing every graphic with clear lifecycle goals. Will they be short-term or reusable? Can they be disassembled, flattened, or shipped compactly to help reduce waste and carbon emissions? Thoughtful design at the start can minimize material waste and lead to a lower transportation footprint.
Pay Attention to Materials
When selecting materials, look for PVC free or recyclable alternatives. Consider post-consumer waste (PCW) paper-based substrates for things like signage, floor graphics, and backlit displays. These choices can reduce VOC emissions, help lower greenhouse gas output, and reduce overall water use.
